Please complete your assignments on Doodle Maths as they tie into our current topic.

Read with your child for at least ten minutes per day.

In sports, we had a fantastic time playing rounders. The boys won this week, so they will now move on to the play-off next week. Throughout the session, they developed key skills such as how to bowl correctly, ensuring the playing area is free from obstructions, understanding how to score a rounder, and improving their fielding techniques.

In maths, we have been learning about non-unit fractions. They have shown a good understanding already and have been working hard. There are related assignments available on Doodle that support this topic, so please make sure your child has the opportunity to complete them.

In English, the children have been learning about what constitutes a good question. They watched clips such as Question Time to explore how experts ask specific and open-ended questions, and have since created their own high-quality questions. They will soon be taking part in interviews with a panel of specialists, including a building developer, an environmental scientist, and a local resident. During these interviews, they will explore different viewpoints on whether a new building development should go ahead in the countryside. This learning links closely to our class text, Lob.
