Homework- read 'Dad's Shearing Shop' and log on Boom reader at least 3 times.
Complete Doodle maths baselining- you can help your child to focus and use the technology but not with the answers at all please as this will put the questions selected for them in future at too high a level.
STEM week
Science- we completed a water filtering experiment using a sock, pebbles and paper towels to filter very muddy water to cleaner.
Maths- we spent Wednesday noticing every time we used numbers in our daily school life. We created a poster and it had so many times- PE, phoneme fingers, dates, counting words in a sentence, counting how many blocks used, how long until lunch?
Computing- we created an branch diagram to classify the animals in our toy animal box. Does it have 4 legs? Yes/ No etc.
Understanding the World and Literacy- we read Mrs Woodward's most favourite book- 'Stanley's Stick'. We then went hunting for our own stick. We named them and decided how they could be played with. Some of us even decorated them. We also made bird feeders and have added them to the nature area.
Stick names included;
Indie- Anna, Albie- Belly Flop, Jack- Stick Insect, Elsie- Golden, Arla- sea horse, Arthur- Jeff, Oscar- Love Heart
