Homework- Read at least 3 times a week and log on Boom Reader app. Look at patterns in your home that repeat- clothing, bed covers, wall paper, wrapping paper etc. Use objects to create own patterns eg. toy car, soft toy, toy car, soft toy.

This week in phonics we have learnt the sounds ck, e, u and r. We have also learnt the tricky word 'I'. The children's oral blending skills are really improving now and in a couple of weeks we are moving onto early word books.

In English, we have shared the book 'In Every House, In Every Street', which has been an excellent talking point to learn more about how our homes have similarities and some differences. The children have each drawn a picture of their homes and tried to label it. We have also talked about our addresses.

In maths, we have continued to subitise to 4 in our mastering number sessions. We have also been working on creating repeating AB patterns.

In art, we have explored Autumnal colours and mixed our own with the powder paints.

In RE, we have learnt that to Christian's God is a VIP and his name is to be respected.

In music, we have started listening to 'The Sorceror's Apprentice' which the children have really enjoyed so far.

In French, we have learnt Bonjour, je m'appelle ... ca va?

For Science, we had a visit from a baby to learn more about the stages of life for humans.
