Homework- Please read at least 3 times a week and log this on the Boom Reader app. You had login details for this last week in your child's reading folder. Reading folders must be returned each Friday to change books.
Practise oral blending games such as- point to the t-r-ee, make a noise like a d-u-ck, touch your h-ea-d. This will support them once they start reading letters and need to blend them to words.
This week we have had our first full week of the timetable. We have added PE, phonics, maths inputs, music, French, RE, PSHE, art and science to our week on top of lots of learning through play time.
Above you will see a photo of all our brand new phonics wordless books which we will begin reading with our guided reading teachers next Monday.
In art, we drew self portraits and chose the correct skin tone colours to match.
In maths, we have been matching and sorting.
In phonics, we have learnt s a t p this week and used our writing books to form the upper and lower case graphemes.
In PE, we began learning gymnastic shapes such as star, pike, straddle and arch. We focused upon using our muscles to extend and hold these shapes for 3 seconds.
